Heart and Soul is a prayer of mine from 2 years back. Since there’s no ‘live’ song this week due to crazy schedules and such, I felt this would be a great time to share it again. delayed flights5/27/12I’ve been living in ny for a year and five months but to be honest it almost feels like a lifetime. So many blessings and great things have happened to me since I moved here and I know for a fact that I’m hardly even scratching the surface. I wanted to take the time to thank all of the people who follow and support my work. It really means a ton!In the process of moving to ny and starting my blog I told myself that I would be transparent and reveal the truths of a man from omaha, nebraska moving to the big city of new york with $60 and a dream. I allowed all of you to see me through various shutter captures, quotes, personal projects and stories. The reason I share is to let you know that you can do it too, you can do whatever your heart desires if you have the will, faith and courage to go after it. Part of me is seeking for meaning in this universe that we live in, part of me is motivated to change the mold of what has been the norm for people who look like me, and the other part is simply me being me.On a recent flight back to ny I was flying over michigan, and like most of the time when I fly I’m in awe by the creation we live in. It’s easy to point out all of the evil in this world, but I like to think about all the magical things that make this life worth while… like the random guy I met on the plane who spoke about going after what’s yours and not having any excuses, or being inspired by college grads that don’t get used by the system but rise above and navigate their own world, or even the homeless person that I see everyday that slam dunks on life’s defense.Never let your flight be delayed by the hindrance of your own impression. I enjoy living life this way. Seeing the world has a way of putting things into perspective. Makes life worth living. Ready for my trip this weekend and then my camping trip gateway. I miss nature, I’m ready for a hike and some peace.
